I’ve said before that the spaces that we occupy are as important to our human needs as air and water. Not just for the shelter and warmth that we require to sustain our physical existence, but for the social and creative aspects of our humanity that are vital for our fulfilment.
Digital nomads – the people who choose to travel and work from anywhere with a stable internet connection – embrace the physical freedom of being able to live and work in diverse locations across the globe.
But I can’t help wondering what does a creative space look like for a nomad?
What do they need to fulfil their creative potential? What are they missing? How can any gaps can be plugged?
How much of that creative space is external and how much internal (think ‘mindset’)?
It is hard enough to imagine what a space that is perfect for creativity would look like. That’s a big one.
Imagine how to make that portable.
How can we create a space that nurtures and promotes our creativity without being limited by location?
What would it look like? A space where our potential is at the same time untethered and unhampered?
